Effective Date: October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how our browser extension (the "Extension") handles technical data. We are committed to a "local-first" approach, ensuring that sensitive information remains under the user's direct control.
The Extension is designed to operate locally on your machine. By default, no technical logs, recordings, or diagnostic data are transmitted to external servers. Processing and report generation occur entirely within your browser environment.
To facilitate technical debugging, the Extension captures the following data during an active recording session:
Users are responsible for reviewing captured reports before sharing them, as reports may contain sensitive technical information or data from the websites being recorded.
All captured information is packaged into a standalone HTML file. This file remains on your local storage until you manually share it with third parties. We do not have access to these files, nor do we sell or distribute your diagnostic data to any third parties.
The Extension does not require user registration or account creation, and we do not operate any backend that stores user identities. However, because the Extension records the content of pages you choose to capture, a report may incidentally contain personal data present on that page — for example, a name or email address visible in the DOM, or values submitted through forms. The Extension applies automated filtering to redact common patterns such as passwords and session identifiers, but this filtering is a best-effort measure and is not a guarantee that all sensitive values are removed. Users should review a report before sharing it with anyone.
We may introduce optional cloud-based features or premium team integrations in the future. Any such features will be strictly "opt-in," and the core local-first functionality will remain independent of these services.
Because all data capture, processing, and storage occur locally on the user's device and no data is transmitted to us or any third party, the Extension does not act as a data controller or processor under regulations such as GDPR or CCPA with respect to the content of recordings. Users who share generated reports with others (e.g., their own development team) remain responsible for ensuring that sharing complies with their own organization's data handling policies.
